Winter Wonderland

Welcome Back!!

We hope you all had a wonderful
vacation and are ready to learn!

This week we will be learning about the letter 'Ll'(practice recognizing the letter, writing the letter, and the sound of the letter), learning how to make ABC patterns, and we will be learning about Winter/el invierno. Also, as you should be doing everyday, please continue to practice with your child the letter sounds, alphabet, numbers, colors, & writing their name.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This week has been pretty busy for us. We've been learning so much and having fun at the same time! Yesterday was our Thanksgiving feast. We shared it with Mrs. Seijas' PreK class. We were Indians and her class were Pilgrims. The kids had a lot of fun and shared their gifts they made for each other. Enjoy these photos of our feast! :)

We are thankful to have each and every one of you in our class and we'd like to wish you all a very blessed Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with Family and Friends! And we shall see you on Monday, November 30th all rested up and ready to learn! God Bless & Take Care!

Thanksgiving Preparations

Today we prepared our potato and corn for our feast tomorrow. The children really enjoyed preparing their own food. They washed, rinsed, and wrapped their food up all by themselves!

They also made some apple turkey's for you to enjoy & we hope you did! :)

Week of Nov. 16th-20th

Hello Parents! We sure hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!


This week we will be learning about the letter 'Kk'(practice recognizing the letter and the sound of the letter), learning how to make ABB patterns, and we will learning about Thanksgiving. Please continue to practice with your child the letter sounds, alphabet, numbers, colors, & writing their name.


[For our cooking activity this week, we are asking that each of you bring an apple and a potato. Thank you all so much for all you do! We greatly appreciate everything you do for us :)]



*Remember that we are still having our canned food drive this week. Bring any canned food products and help us win a pizza party! :) *



Tomorrow, November 17th will be our REAL School Gardens Designing Night from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm!! Come help Hobbs Williams Elementary School create a school garden to share with our entire community. It will be a place for children to explore, learn, and connect with nature. This is sure to be a wonderful time so come share your ideas with us in creating a beautiful garden for our kids!

Leaf Man

Today we went outside and gathered some leaves.

With those leaves the children made some wonderful Leaf Men!

They had fun gathering leaves and making their Leaf Man :)

Indian Homes

Today we decorated our Tipi's (teepee's)! The children loved painting their own Tipi (teepee).

Week of Nov. 9th-13th

Hello Parents! We hope you all had a wonderful and restful weekend :)


This week we are learning about the letter 'Jj' practice recognizing the letter and the sound of the letter, learn how to make ABBA patterns, find out about fall leaves [Fall/Autumn], and we will learn about Indians! Our family project for this week will be to decorate/make an Indian boy/girl. We will be sending out the letter and template tomorrow with your child.

As always, remember to practice knowing the letters, sounds, colors, shapes, and writing your name.



Wednesday, November 11th, is Veterans Day. Please join us as we honor our Veterans on this day. Our celebration will be in the school gym beginning at 8:30am. Grade levels will perform and Veterans are invited before and afterwards for refreshments in the library!

Yummy Corn!

Today we cleaned and cooked our corn on the cobs! The kids loved doing this activity and eating their yummy corn, as did we! ;)
